One of the oldest belltowers still standing. The oldest belltower in south-central Italy.
Later we saw doves. It was touching after that statue story.
This used to be a gothic church. Back in the day, they thought that if placed a wall next to another wall, it would be strong enough to withstand an earthquake. When the idea inevitably failed them, and the original fell down, they rebuilt it in a different style.

Sorry this was such a boring update. I was hungry and spaced out during most of the tour. Next, I'll get up some pictures of the sanctuary on top of the mountain which I actually paid attention to.
