That Place Thinger

Went to some sort of holy place. It was old. That's about all I remember.

The front door.

This woman was dubbed a saint. For charity and stuff.
:cough:
Er.
There's a dove in her raised hand because that was her symbol.

One of the oldest belltowers still standing. The oldest belltower in south-central Italy.

The newest of the three cloisters.

The oldest. The middle one was blocked off for restoration.
Later we saw doves. It was touching after that statue story.

This used to be a gothic church. Back in the day, they thought that if placed a wall next to another wall, it would be strong enough to withstand an earthquake. When the idea inevitably failed them, and the original fell down, they rebuilt it in a different style.

Sorry this was such a boring update. I was hungry and spaced out during most of the tour. Next, I'll get up some pictures of the sanctuary on top of the mountain which I actually paid attention to.
